This year the MCAC will be launching two new initiatives. The first initiative is our Youth Programming Fund. This fund will provide children with the opportunity to engage directly with the arts through programming hosted or sponsored by the MCAC. The second initiative is our Youth Scholarship Fund...This fund would give youth, across the county, full or partial scholarships to participate in art and music classes, and assist with instrument and equipment rentals.”

The McKean County Arts Council is also pleased to announce the launch of its 2019 Membership Drive. “The progress the MCAC has made so far this year has been driven by the work of our volunteers and the support of our members,” says Lawyer. This year, the MCAC is offering three membership levels: patron, artist, and business. Each membership level offers unique benefits.  For $25, patrons will receive discounts at participating businesses and venues, and receive exclusive members only events. For $50, artists will be able to use the MCAC’s space to hold events and workshops, be featured in artists profiles, receive invitations to artist exclusive events and offers, and more. For $100, businesses will be featured on social media, and have the opportunity to establish promotional partnerships with the MCAC. Additionally, all of our members will be the first to hear about new benefits for our members as the MCAC continues to grow.
